How to Manage Your Team
ChatbotIQ workspaces support multiple team members with different permission levels. Here’s how to invite people and manage who can do what.
Invite a team member
Section titled “Invite a team member”- Go to Team in the sidebar.
- Click “Invite Member”.
- Enter their email address.
- Choose a role:
- Admin — can manage bots, sources, workspace settings, and team members (Members and Viewers).
- Member — read/use access: can view bots, sources, conversations, and analytics, but cannot create or edit bots or sources.
- Viewer — same effective access as Member (read-only).
- Click Send Invitation.
What happens next depends on whether the invitee already has a ChatbotIQ account:
- Existing ChatbotIQ users are added to the workspace directly — they get access immediately, with no email accept step.
- New users (no account yet) receive an email invitation link. Until they sign up, the invitation shows as Pending.
Note: Only the Owner can invite someone as an Admin. Admins can invite Members and Viewers only.
Note: The number of team members you can invite depends on your plan. See Plans, Credits & Pricing.
Change a member’s role
Section titled “Change a member’s role”- Go to Team and find the member in the list.
- Click the role dropdown next to their name.
- Select the new role.
The change takes effect immediately.
Remove a member
Section titled “Remove a member”- Go to Team and find the member.
- Click the remove button next to their name.
- Confirm the removal.
They’ll lose access to the workspace immediately. Their past actions (bots they created, settings they changed) remain intact.
Cancel a pending invitation
Section titled “Cancel a pending invitation”If someone hasn’t accepted your invitation yet:
- Go to Team and scroll to the Pending Invitations section.
- Click Cancel next to the invitation.
