Plans, Credits & Pricing
Everything you need to know about ChatbotIQ’s plans, credit system, and model pricing — in one place.
How credits work
Section titled “How credits work”ChatbotIQ uses per-message billing: each bot response costs a fixed number of credits based on the AI model used, regardless of how long the question or answer is.
Formula:
Credits per message = model multiplierCredits per message with image = model multiplier x 2So a message with GPT-5 Mini (1x) costs 1 credit. A message with Claude Sonnet 4.6 (3x) costs 3 credits. Sending an image alongside the message doubles the cost.
Key rules
Section titled “Key rules”- Monthly reset — your credit allowance resets at the start of each billing cycle. Unused credits don’t roll over.
- Top-up credits expire after 90 days — credits purchased in a credit pack are valid for 90 days from purchase. Each pack tracks its own expiry; consumption is FIFO (the soonest-to-expire pack drains first). You receive an email reminder 14 days before a pack expires.
- Embedding is free — indexing your content (crawling, chunking, embedding) is included in your plan and doesn’t deduct from credits.
- Other free actions — widget loads, dashboard navigation, and content crawling don’t cost credits.
- Image attachments cost 2x — vision-enabled requests are billed at double the model’s normal multiplier.

Section titled “Plan comparison”ChatbotIQ offers four plans. All plans include the full feature set — the difference is capacity.

What counts as a “page”?
Section titled “What counts as a “page”?”Each URL or document (PDF page, Q&A entry, etc.) that is indexed in your knowledge base counts as one page. The page count reflects your current indexed content — deleting a source or page decreases the count.
Page limits are not monthly. They represent the total indexed content at any point in time.
What happens when you hit a limit?
Section titled “What happens when you hit a limit?”- Credits: Your bot stops responding until the next billing cycle or you purchase top-up credits. Workspace owners receive an email notification.
- Pages: You can’t index new content until you delete existing pages or upgrade your plan.
- Bots / Sources / Team: You can’t create new ones until you delete existing ones or upgrade.
Credit costs by model
Section titled “Credit costs by model”Each message costs a fixed number of credits equal to the model’s multiplier. Image attachments double the cost.
| Model | Provider | Multiplier | Credits per message | Credits with image | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GPT-5 Mini | OpenAI | 1x | 1 | 2 | General use. Fast, cheap, accurate. |
| Gemini 3 Flash | 1x | 1 | 2 | Fast responses with good quality. | |
| Mistral Small 3.2 | Mistral | 1x | 1 | 2 | Lightweight tasks. EU-hosted. |
| GPT-5.2 | OpenAI | 2x | 2 | 4 | Complex questions requiring deep reasoning. |
| Gemini 3 Pro | 2x | 2 | 4 | Advanced tasks with good multilingual support. | |
| Mistral Medium 3.5 | Mistral | 2x | 2 | 4 | Multilingual reasoning, EU-hosted. |
| Claude Sonnet 4.6 | Anthropic | 3x | 3 | 6 | Nuanced, well-structured responses. |
| Claude Opus 4.6 | Anthropic | 7x | 7 | 14 | Highest quality. Best for critical use cases. |
How many messages can I send?
Section titled “How many messages can I send?”| Plan | Monthly credits | Messages (1x models) | Messages (Sonnet 4.6, 3x) | Messages (Opus 4.6, 7x) |

Why different models cost different amounts
Section titled “Why different models cost different amounts”AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) charge different rates for different models. More powerful models cost more because they use more computational resources and produce higher-quality answers. ChatbotIQ’s multipliers reflect these underlying cost differences directly.
Tips for managing costs
Section titled “Tips for managing costs”- Start with a 1x model — GPT-5 Mini, Gemini 3 Flash, or Mistral Small 3.2 handle most use cases at the lowest credit cost. Only upgrade when you see a clear quality gap.
- Reserve Opus 4.6 for critical messages — at 7x, a single Opus message costs as much as seven GPT-5 Mini messages.
- Avoid unnecessary image attachments — they double the credit cost on every model.
- Set rate limits per bot — prevents abuse and unexpected credit drain.
- Monitor usage — the Billing page shows a breakdown of credits by model, so you can see where your budget goes.
